Description
Econometric modeling and data analysis preserves its importance in academic scholars with respect to publishing high quality papers in top ranking and international peer reviewed journals and by contributing to research related courses as well as theses in higher education institutions. Econometric analysis is also important in public and private sectors for forecasting and estimation about future trends. By attending this workshop, participants will also be able to develop their skills in applied econometric analysis and publish papers in top journals such as the ones in the Social Sciences Citation Index and ECONLIT. Econometric Views (EVIEWS) 6.0 statistical software will be extensively used during this workshop. Furthermore, "Applied Econometric Time Series” by Walter Enders (1995) and the article of "Bounds testing approaches to the analysis of level relationships (Pesaran, Shin and Smith, 2001)" will be the major guides of this international training workshop.

The Fourth International Training Workshop on Econometric Modeling and Data Analysis: February 08-12, 2010, is organized by the International Economic Society (IES) Ltd. for academicians as well as professionals from the public and private sectors. After successfully completing the previous workshops on Econometric Modeling and Data Analysis (which attracted participants from Austria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, North Cyprus, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Nigeria), IES is delighed to offer this fourth traditional event.

Description
Akdeniz University is a campus university established on approximately 925 acres of land to the west of Antalya city centre between Dumlupinar Boulevard and the Uncalı district. It was founded in 1982, and incorporated the higher education institutions already established in Antalya, Isparta and Burdur. In 1992 the institutions located outside Antalya were transferred to Süleyman Demirel University. There are at present 11 faculties and a conservatory active in the university. There are also 4 vocational schools within the university providing bachelor degree courses, 8 vocational schools established in Antalya and its surrounding districts which offer 2-year courses and 4 graduate schools providing education at master and doctorate levels.
All the university’s faculties and schools can be found on the campus with the exception of: The Social Sciences School of Higher Education, which operates in the Callı district: Antalya Higher School of Health, which can be found on Cumhuriyet Boulevard in the city centre: The Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Fine Arts, both of which have their home in the Topçular district on the eastern side of the city.

The staff consists of 1309 administrative personnel, with 1671 in academic positions. 198 full professors are supported by 101 associate professors and 188 assistant professors. 265 lecturers, 768 researchers 79 lectors and 72 specialists complete the staff.
In the 2003-2004 academic year a total of 17,287 students attended the university, consisting of 6,943 pre-graduates, 9,037 bachelor degree students, and 1,307 post-graduates.
