"Information Technologies for Sustainable Development"

IEEE INDIN is the premier conference series presenting the state of the art and future perspectives of industrial information technologies, where industry experts, researchers, and academics share ideas and experiences surrounding frontier technologies, breakthrough and innovative solutions and applications.

The theme of INDIN 2010 is "Information Technologies for Sustainable Development." INDIN 2010 will be held on 13-16th July in Osaka, the second largest city in Japan. Osaka, an ancient capital city of Japan in 7th and 16th century, is located in western part of Japan near Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe.

Previous conferences in the series were held in Banff Canada (2003), Berlin Germany (2004), Perth Australia (2005), Singapore (2006),Vienna Austria (2007)Daejeon Korea (2008), and Cardiff, UK(2009).

Osaka University (大阪大学 Ōsaka daigaku?), or Handai (阪大 Handai?), is a major national university in Osaka, Japan. It is the sixth oldest university in Japan, as the Prefectural Osaka Medical College, and formerly one of the Imperial Universities of Japan.

Hideki Yukawa obtained his Nobel Prize in Physics on his early work conducted at Osaka University.

Osaka University is recognized as a leading university, especially in basic sciences and medical field. The university was ranked the 44th among the world's best universities and the 3rd best Japanese university in 2008, according to the QS World University Rankings .[2] and was placed 46th worlwide in 2009 by Global University Ranking.[3]
